Gabriel brings academic rigor and design pedigree as a Professor of Design at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with training under Jamie Drake and Vicente Wolfe and advanced degrees in both interior and industrial design. Brooke complements this with a background in human behavior and a deep sensitivity to how environments shape emotion, ritual, and well-being. Together, their partnershipfuses intellect and intuition, scholarship and craft.

Dean & Dahl’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue, Elle Decor, Interior Design Magazine, and Dezeen, with installations at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, The Venetian Las Vegas, and Hôtel Fouquet’s NYC. In 2024, the studio received “Insider’s Pick” at Collectible Design Fair NYC for the JoJo Chaise Lounge, a sculptural work that embodies their theory of relational aura—design that accrues meaning through touch, care, repair, and biography. Handmade in the heartland by American artisans, every Dean & Dahl piece is a future heirloom: limited-series, numbered, and documented.
